Simplest Asian dessert ever!
Wash the green beans and barley together. Rinse them well. Add 1 litre of water and boil them over high temperature.
Turn the temperature down and simmer once the mixture is boiling. Grab a couple of handfuls of yellow rock sugar (or any other sugar) and add it to the soup.
Add more water when necessary; you want to achieve a soup-y consistency.

It’s sweet and in my country, we eat it as a dessert!
