I call these “Jolene’s Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies” because everytime I visit my aunt, she makes them for me. The original recipe makes 112 cookies, but I fourthed the recipe and made about 2 dozen cookies. Enjoy! You won’t be disappointed!
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Cream together butter, sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer.
3. Add egg and vanilla.
4. Mix together flour, ground oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
5. Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
6. Stir in chocolate chips, chopped Hershey bar, and chopped nuts.
7. Make golf-ball-sized cookies spaced 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
8. Bake for 9 minutes.
Yields 2 dozen cookies.

I was looking for an oatmeal cookie recipe to adapt into mango cashew cookies, and this looks perfect! I’m excited to try it tonight!

I’ve just eaten about three of these right out of the oven! So good! Have you ever added any cinnamon? I may try that next time just to change it up a little. Thanks for the recipe!

I have been looking for an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe that I liked for awhile. I think this is it! I didn’t do the whole hershey bar part and I didn’t add nuts b/c I don’t care for them, but still, these cookies were great. Big, moist, yummy. Also, I like that it only makes 2 dozen cookies since the last thing I wanted to do was deal with making 4 dozen cookies after work.
