A simple cabbage soup recipe made up by my sister and me.
In a large pot, dice up the celery, onion, kielbasa, and green onions. Add the carrots, chicken broth, salt, cajun seasoning, and garlic powder. Bring to a boil. Add water if necessary. Cut the cabbage into bite-sized shreds and add to the pot. Turn the heat down to medium and let simmer for about 10 minutes. Dice the potatoes and throw them in. Let cook for about 10 more minutes.
Serve with crusty French or Italian bread.

This is a great, filling soup. The proportions are a little off. I ended up using 2 quarts of chicken stock and 4 cups of water. But I’ll have lot of leftovers to freeze for later!
