I love this soup and have made it several times. The meatballs have a great flavor. The coriander and cumin add a wonderful element that makes this better than your average vegetable soup. I never seem to be able to find ABC pasta, so I usually cook whatever I have and chop it into smaller pieces. I’ve done it with penne and farafel.

This soup is divine! I doubled the recipe to use an entire 1 lb package of ground turkey, tripled the veggies and used ditalini* instead of ABC pasta since we couldn’t find it at our grocery store. I was surprised by the use of cumin and coriander in a pretty traditional vegetable soup, but it was really so unique and delicious. I’m also glad that we doubled the recipe because the leftovers got even better the next day for lunches. Yum!
*This is the third time around, and ditalini is our favorite alternative to ABC pasta. Try it!

I love this soup, and so do my kids! I’ve tried it with and without the cumin and coriander, and I actually prefer without. I also add a ton more carrots and celery than it calls for to make it extra vegetable-y!

I made this tonight. I wanted something light and this hit the spot…couldn’t find alphabet pasta so I used a spiral veggie pasta. I loved it and the broth was wonderful. Thank you for sharing this healthy recipe!

Delicious! I used egg noodles as I didn’t have abc’s and it was so good. The next even better!

made this for a friend who is going through chemo and can’t have anything spicy–not tomato, no pepper, nothing–because of mouth sores.
this is comfort food, and shouldn’t be thought of as just for kids! thanks, jaden!
