Dulce de Leche (Sweet of Milk), is like a thick caramel sauce and can be used on anything from toast to coffee. It is a truly versatile and delicious spread, topping, etc.
Put all ingredients in a slow cooker and whisk together.
Cook on HIGH uncovered for 9 hours.
During the last hour of cook time, stir the mixture every 20 minutes, scraping the crust of the sugar around the edges before each stir.
Pour into jars and keep in the fridge.

Hello
I have made dulce de leche many times with whole milk and although the cooking time is certainly long, it is not 9 hours, more like 4 or 5. You also need to constantly stir it and watch it as the baking soda reacts quite drastically,
