My husband likes any oatmeal cookies. I only like the chewy ones. He likes raisins. I like chocolate chips. This recipe pleases us both!

  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 3 cups Old Fashioned Oats
  • 1 cup Raisins Or Chocolate Chips

2. Grease cookie sheet.
3. Beat butter and sugars until creamy.
4. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.

These are so good! I used the quick cooking oats and added about 1/4 cup more flour and I used all raisins. The flavor is very nice! They didn’t spread much on the pan too.

I made these a few days ago and they turned out pretty good! I only had 1 cup of the old fashioned oats and had to use 2 cups of quick cooking oats. The cookies were flatter/thinner than I was hoping, but this could’ve been because of the quick cooking oats. After four days, they are still chewy! This was a super-easy recipe to pull together. I used 1/2 cup of raisins and 1/2 cup of chocolate chips. I will make them again with all old fashioned oats and see if they are thicker.
