Description

A mix between cakey and chewy, these chocolate chip cookies are the absolute best. They are my all-time favorite chocolate chip cookies. Every time I make them, I am asked for the recipe. So here it is!

Ingredients

  • 1 stick Cold Butter
  • 2-¼ cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1-½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cups Crisco
  • ¾ cups White Sugar
  • ¾ cups Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 whole Eggs At Room Temperature
  • 1 bag (12 Oz. Size) Chocolate Chips
  • ½ cups Candy Sprinkles

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 F. Prepare 2 baking sheets by covering each one with parchment paper.

Cut the cold butter into 1/2″ cubes and put it into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 5-6 seconds. Repeat this for approximately 8 heating increments in a row, or until melted.

In a medium sized bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the melted butter, Crisco, white and brown sugars, and vanilla. Slowly mix in each egg. Beat until smooth.

Slowly add the flour mixture in with the wet ingredients. Mix together with your hands (you could use a mixer, but the consistency of the cookie will not turn out the same way as these do).

Mix chocolate chips and sprinkles into the cookie dough with your hands.

Scoop out 1 1/2 tablespoons of the cookie dough for each cookie. Line each cookie sheet with 3 rows of 4 cookies per row.

Bake at 350 F for 13 minutes. Remove from oven. Allow your cookies to cool on a cooling rack. Enjoy!
