Description

This is a BIG, GIGANTIC, ENORMOUS, WHOPPING cookie! You may just be able to stop after eating one. These work great for party favors. Send your guests on their way with one of these babies wrapped in cellophane and tied with a ribbon! Also great for kid’s parties. These yumalicious cookies are bigger than your head!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1-½ cup Brown Sugar, Packed
  • ¼ cups Granulated White Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 whole Eggs At Room Temperature
  • 1 whole Egg Yolk
  • 2-½ cups All Purpose White Flour
  • ¾ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1-¼ cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar, Chopped
  • 1-¼ cup Mini M&Ms (for Baking)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350F.

Stack 2 baking sheets, one on top of the other. Line the top baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange oven to 3rd shelf position.

In mixer:
Cream butter with both sugars until well blended. Add vanilla, eggs, and egg yolk. Mix.

In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt together.

Fold the dry mixture in with the butter mixture. Batter will be thick. Now FOLD in chocolate chips, chopped chocolate and M & M’s. IT WON’T BE EASY, but continue to fold together until mixed.
(If batter is too soft and greasy add 2-4 tablespoons of flour. I don’t usually have to do this.)

Scoop out 7-8 ounces or 1 FULL CUP of dough! You can bake only 2 per baking sheet. They spread, so don’t put them close together.

Bake for 20-24 minutes. Insert a toothpick into the center to make sure it’s done. Don’t overcook.

Remove from oven and let cook ON BAKING SHEET for 15-20 minutes!

Now, didn’t I tell you you could stop after only 1 cookie!?

That picture is just amazing! hehe It looks like it needs a caption with the look on the baby’s face! As for the cookies- my nearly 5 year old son would go nuts… so looks like we will be trying them out!

Although the cookie must be good, I just want to kiss that sweet little face. What an adorable baby!

These are amazing! So easy to make, and fun to eat! This is my husband’s new favorite cookie. He likes to keep one sitting out at all times so he can walk by and break pieces off throughout the day. In the last 6 weeks, I’ve made this recipe 4 times, plus one double batch for an office party, and they were a big hit!

I have followed the recipe to the letter each time (well, maybe I get a little heavy handed on the chocolate chips and M&Ms!!), and always have perfect results. I haven’t had any trouble with the batter being too greasy. No joke about the spreading, these things are huge!

Thanks so much for posting, this is definitely a keeper for our “family recipe book.” :)
