Description

A sweet, light, rich chocolaty cookie made with Dove’s Dark Chocolate and pecans.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag (about 9 Oz. Size) Dove Promises Dark Chocolate, Divided
  • 8 Tablespoons Butter, cut into pieces
  • ⅓ cups Flour
  • ¼ cups Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 2 whole Large Eggs
  • ⅔ cups Sugar
  • 2 cups Chopped Nuts, Such As Walnuts, Pecans Or Toasted Almonds (I Used Pecans)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 325ºF. Line 2 baking sheets with foil or parchment paper.

Melt half of the dark chocolate (17 pieces) with the butter in the top of a double boiler until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Meanwhile, roughly chop the remaining chocolate; set aside.

In a small bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; set aside.

In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until thick and light yellow, about 2 minutes. Stir in flour mixture and cooled chocolate and beat for 1 minute. Fold in the remaining chopped chocolate and nuts.

Drop tablespoonfuls of batter 2 inches apart onto the prepared cookie sheets. Bake for approximately 10 minutes, or until just firm. Remove from the oven, transfer to a wire rack and cool for 5 minutes before removing from the cookie sheet pans.
