I demonstrating making these cookies for my first presentation in a speech class. It was my freshman year in college and I was nervous. I made a big batch and passed them out during the presentation. They earned rave reviews, as did my speech.
I’ve made them often in the 15 years since. They’re so good with a big glass of cold milk.
Cream butter and peanut butter. Beat in sugars and mix until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, then orange juice and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together, and fold into the creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Refrigerate cookie dough for at least one hour.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a baking sheet. Drop dough by heaping tablespoonfuls onto the baking sheet. Bake for about 14 minutes, or until the cookies are starting to brown.

Ok…I don’t know how to “Mitt” rate these recipes…I goofed up….I would give this a 5 not a 1 as they are worth the effort to make them…Sorry Princessmomma

These turned out really good. A great snack for my greenhouse crew with a little protein for satisfaction. I substituted cashew butter along with the peanut butter, upped the temperature on oven and shortened cooking time. Very satisfying!
