These cookies taste like everything wonderful about autumn! This recipe was re-created from the Apple Treasure cookies I remember as a child, picking up a bag every time we went apple-picking in upstate New York at a family country store in Pomona.
Cream shortening, sugar, molasses and eggs. Mix in the rest of the ingredients. Drop spoonfuls on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350F for 12 to 15 minutes (or longer, depending on how big your spoonfuls are).
These can be frozen, but you will love them so much that they will be gone in no time!
