This is our favorite chocolate sauce. Its cornstarch and milk base makes it milder and not sickeningly sweet like some chocolate sauce recipes. So you can use a little extra sauce!
In a saucepan, mix brown sugar, cornstarch, and cocoa with margarine until crumbly. Add the milk and cook over medium heat. Bring to boiling and boil for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly, to thicken. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
If you want a sweet and fudgy sauce, add the marshmallows after removing from heat. Whisk until dissolved.
Serve warm over ice cream.
