Description

Perfectly soft and delicious! Every time I make these cookies, people request the recipe and for me to make more.

Ingredients

  • 2-¼ cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ cups Unsalted Butter
  • ½ cups Crisco
  • ¾ cups Light Brown Sugar
  • ¼ cups White Sugar
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 package (3.4 Oz. Size) Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix (Not Cook & Serve)
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups Ghirardelli Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Preparation

In a medium bowl, sift together flour and baking soda. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together butter, Crisco, brown sugar and white sugar. Beat in the instant vanilla pudding mix until blended.

Stir in the eggs and pure vanilla extract. Blend in four mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.

Wrap the dough in wax paper and chill in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight.

Preheat the oven to 350ºF and bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 10 minutes. (I can fit 8 on a cookie sheet at a time.) Take the cookies out of the oven and let them sit on the cookie sheet for about 1 minute before serving.

The original recipe makes 6 dozen, so this is cut in half.

I brought these cookies into my husband’s office and they were a huge hit! I used chocolate pudding, the only kind I had, and it made the cookies more like a double chocolate cookie! I loved it!

I had to change a couple of aspects due to what was available to me (regular butter, dark chocolate chips), but these are the BEST chocolate chip cookies I have EVER had! My family was kind of weirded out when I whipped out the vanilla pudding mix, but they’re pretty amazing!

I dread making CCC’s, until this recipe!!! I was asked to make 3 dozen for a wedding, so I gave these a shot. I did half the chocolate chips and add a bag of heath toffee bits… Hopefully the rest of the dough lasts! Husband was caught with a spoon in the dough! Hands down easiest and best chocolate chip cookie recipe i’ve tried! Aptly named!
