An easy way to make doughnuts with canned biscuit dough.
Cut a hole in the middle of the biscuits. (I use a plastic bottle cap.) Heat oil in pan for frying. Fry the biscuits and the “holes” until golden, turning them after a few seconds. (I use a fork or chop sticks to flip them.) Let drain on paper towels.
Put powdered sugar in a paper bag. Put the doughnuts in a few at a time and shake to coat.
Note: Use the plain biscuits, not layered or butter or anything fancy.

I’ve made these several times and I can’t believe how yummy they are! I toss them in cinnamon/sugar…and everyone loves them. Who knew canned biscuits could make such delicious donuts!

Mmmmm….I’ll have to try the chocolate frosting. Those are my favorite kind from the donut shop!

I love making these doughnuts – we do it usually only when camping for some reason. I usually just break a hole in the dough with my fingers so we have never had the “holes”, so I will for sure be doing it this way from now on! I also love frosting them with chocolate frosting or dipping them in cinnamon and sugar!
