I make chicken soup for friends when they’re sick. This is what I make for myself. It’s easy, filling and very good.
Start warming the water over medium heat and toss in the beef cube, garlic powder and lime leaves/juice.
Cut the mushrooms into chunks as big or small as you like. Cut the pepper into thin strips, and the onion into rings.
Toss everything in the pot and turn the heat up to high. When the mushrooms and peppers look cooked, it’s done. Put a dish cloth folded over under your bowl, fill the bowl with soup and, using the towel to hold it, crawl under a blanket with your soup.
