Description

I found these cookies on allrecipes, but I doctored them up based on what I had in my pantry/fridge. They are the best cookies I’ve ever had and my husband makes me bake them at least once a week. They are always a huge hit at parties.

Ingredients

  • 1-⅔ cup All-purpose Flour
  • ¾ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Table Salt
  • ¾ cups Packed Crisco
  • ¾ cups Packed Brown Sugar
  • ⅓ cups White Sugar
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 bag (12 Oz) Chocolate Chips

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
3. In medium bowl, cream together Crisco, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
4. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually stir in the sifted ingredients, then stir in the chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
5. Bake for 8-10 minutes. I usually do 8 minutes and they are perfect. They will look a little undercooked, but once they cool, they will be perfect.
