Easiest, most addictive breakfast treat you can make. Great for lazy mornings at home, and excellent to take to the office for a mini office party.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Brown sausage in skillet over medium heat, breaking it up as you go. I like to use a potato masher to get it down to smaller bits.
While sausage is browning, split English muffins and place on cookie sheet. A dozen half muffins should cover all of a regular-sized cookie sheet.
When sausage is browned evenly and there is no more pink showing, drain off excess fat. Spoon the two jars of Olde English cheese into the skillet, allowing the cheese to melt evenly into the sausage.
When the cheese is totally melted in, put heaping spoonfuls of the mixture on the tops of the split muffins. This recipe normally covers all twelve muffin halves generously.
Place the cookie sheet in the oven for approximately 5-7 minutes, or until the edges of the muffins are toasted.
Remove from oven and ring the bell. These generally don’t last much longer than five minutes at my house.
