Sometimes called raised waffles, these are light, fluffy, and crisp. Perfect for sweet or savory toppings. Make them the night before for easy morning prep!
In a large bowl, combine yeast, warm water, and milk. Stir to combine and let rest 5 minutes. Stir in butter, sugar, salt, and flour until smooth. Cover and let rest at room temperature 6-8 hours or overnight.
When you’re ready to cook the waffles, stir in eggs and baking soda. (Batter will be somewhat thin.) Cook in waffle iron according to manufacturer’s directions.
Leftover batter will keep covered in the refrigerator up to about 2 days.

We make these waffles! Love them! We also make the whole batch and then freeze the leftovers.
