This is thicker than soup so I called it a stew. Easy recipe for cold nights and you get to enjoy the great aroma while it is cooking.
In large stock pot, add all ingredients except the sausage. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a low boil for 30 minutes. Turn off, put a lid on and let sit for 30 minutes. Then add sausage and simmer on medium for 1 hour. Serve with your favorite bread or rolls.
