Description

This is thicker than soup so I called it a stew. Easy recipe for cold nights and you get to enjoy the great aroma while it is cooking.

Ingredients

  • ½ whole Yellow Onion, Diced
  • 4 cloves Garlic, Chopped
  • 2 pieces Bay Leaf
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1 can (16 Oz. Can) Diced Stewed Tomatoes
  • 1-½ cup White Beans
  • 3 cubes Chicken Bouillon
  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Pepper
  • ½ teaspoons Onion Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Smoked Paprika
  • 1 cup Chopped Swiss Chard Or Kale
  • 16 ounces, weight Bockworst Sausage, Halved Lengthwise Then Sliced

Preparation

In large stock pot, add all ingredients except the sausage. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a low boil for 30 minutes. Turn off, put a lid on and let sit for 30 minutes. Then add sausage and simmer on medium for 1 hour. Serve with your favorite bread or rolls.
