Description

These chocolate-y cookies are tender and delicious and I love that there is a hint of cinnamon . It’s so unexpected and lovely.

Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup Margarine (or Half Butter Half Shortening)
  • 2 cups Sugar Plus Extra For Rolling The Cookies In At The End
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • ½ cups Cocoa Powder
  • 3-½ cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon

Preparation

Cream margarine and sugar together in the bowl of a mixer on medium speed. Add eggs and beat until smooth. Add dry ingredients and beat well.

Chill dough for several hours. (I’ve skipped the chilling in the past and while it is stickier to work with the cookies will turn out fine).

Roll into balls and then into a bowl of sugar.

Bake at 375F for 9-10 minutes.
