Perfect little rounds of French toast spiced with cinnamon and cardamom. Slightly stale baguette works best. Great weekend breakfast!
In a shallow dish, whisk together milk, egg, cinnamon, cardamom and vanilla. Soak bread in mixture for 5–10 minutes.
Heat a pat of butter in a frying pan over low-medium heat. Transfer bread to frying pan. Cook on one side for 3-4 minutes, flip and cook the other side for 1-2 minutes.
Serve with preserves.
