Description

A quick and easy stew that is very filling and delicious!

Ingredients

  • ½ whole Yellow Onion, Chopped
  • 1 pound Ground Sirloin
  • 3 cloves Garlic, Pressed
  • 3 whole Carrots, Chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Cumin
  • Salt And Pepper
  • 2 cups Water
  • 24 ounces, fluid Tomato Sauce
  • 2 cubes Beef Bouillon
  • ½ heads Cabbage
  • 1 can (14 Oz. Can) Corn, Drained
  • 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Kidney Beans, Drained And Rinsed

Preparation

Saute chopped onions for about 3 minutes, then add ground sirloin until cooked through. (If you aren’t using sirloin, then you will need to drain the grease before moving to the next step.) Add garlic, carrots, cumin, a little salt and pepper, then stir in water, tomato sauce and bouillon cubes. Stir. Bring to boil then add chopped cabbage, corn, and beans. Reduce heat to summer and let simmer at least an hour, until ready to eat. Serve with grill cheese sandwiches!

Yum.

Made this yesterday and LOVED it! Hubby was not too thrilled when I said I was making stew (he hates stew) but was quickly won over. This is a delicious and easy meal and we are both enjoying the leftovers today.

This is so good! My husband asked me if it was soup or chili, but it doesn’t matter because it tastes so darn good, and it’s easy too. I even had everything i needed for the recipe without making a special trip to the grocery store. Thanks so much!
