Description

My mom makes the BEST chocolate chip cookies. Then again, I’m a little biased.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (18.25 Oz. Box) Duncan Hines (or Similar) Moist White Cake Mix
  • 1 whole Egg
  • ½ cups Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Water
  • 1 bag (11 Oz. Bag) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. Pour cake mix into a large mixing bowl; add egg and oil. Stir together.
3. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water, and mix well.
4. Add all the chocolate chips and continue to mix the dough.
5. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto un-greased cookie sheets and bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Cookies should not brown on top (only on the bottom).

I make similar cookies, but add an egg and leave out the water. I use everykind of cake mix and whatever mix-ins are to hand, the best!

This was the first chocolate chip cookie that I’ve made where I didn’t like the taste of the cookie dough. I was a bit worried but the cookies tasted great! I had to add a 1/4 c. flour to the batter because it was too runny, but I think my cake mix was slightly smaller than what the recipe calls for.
