A crispy-chewy Christmas confection! I can’t remember who I got the recipe from, but I should figure it out and thank them!
Cream softened butter and sugar together until fluffy. Add egg yolks and vanilla and blend. Add flour, soda and tartar and blend until all is incorporated. Form into balls (about 3/4″) and roll or dip the balls in colored sugar(s). Do not flatten! This will ruin the effect! Place on your baking sheet and bake at 350F for 10-12 minutes or until set!

How happy am I? So Happy, these turned out beautiful! I tried to save time and roll a bunch while waiting on those in the oven. Didn’t work so well, the colored sugar didn’t stick. I had to mush and re roll them. Next time I’ll just roll as I go. Can’t wait to serve them on Christmas. Thanks for the recipe:)
