You will not believe these are gluten free! Bring on the green bean casserole!
In a large bowl, mix together milk, lemon juice, salt and sliced onions. Stir and toss onions and allow to soak for a few minutes. Meanwhile, place all flours and salt into a large Ziploc bag. Heat the oil on medium/high heat (until it pops when a drop of water is added). Once oil is heated, toss a few of the onions in the flour mixture then place in the oil. Fry for a few minutes on each side until crispy. Watch them carefully so they do not get overcooked. Remove and place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

These look great and I bet my kids would love them straight up and would leave me none to make a casserole!
