Description

There is no fiddling with this recipe. I fell in love with it, and don’t dare mess with it. It changed the way I eat sweet potatoes forever. No longer covered in marshmallows, my sweet potatoes are now covered in this divine sauce. As Lorelei Gilmore once said in an episode of Gilmore Girls, “I could take a bath in this sauce!”

Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons Cream
  • 3 Tablespoons Butter
  • ½ cups Brown Sugar
  • ½ teaspoons Salt

Preparation

It’s sinfully simple. Add all the ingredients into a small pot and bring to a boil. Cook until it thickens. The longer you boil, the thicker the sauce.

This sauce is glorious. The secret is in the salt.

Sweet potatoes are my new favorite vegetable, thanks to this sauce. Just pour the sauce over your cooked sweet potatoes and you are all set.

I have yet to make this without tripling the recipe, or quadrupling it. Made it three times this Christmas alone. I think it’s running through my veins.

Mmmm… I made it again this year, and it was just as good, only I smartened up and made even more. I absolutely love this stuff. I guess I’ll have to take a picture, or no one will understand.
