The filter on my French press just broke, so I was thrilled to see this recipe. It was super easy and the result is delicious! I used a coffee filter inside of my strainer instead of cheesecloth and made only 4 servings (a little 2oz. bag of Mystic Monk coffee).

I came. I saw. I brewed. Absolute heaven in a glass! Very easy–I just so happened to have an unopened can of Cafe Bustelo and a deep desire to have iced coffee at my fingertips. My little can only held 10 oz. and my big pitcher only 1 gallon. One proportion problem later, I am the proud owner of a gallon of coffee concentrate that is totally better that Sbux! Mixed it this morning with almond milk, 2 sweeteners and a splash of cream and drove off to teach summer school a very happy camper. Thanks so much for this recipe!

I love it! So simple to make. I used Starbucks vanilla syrup to sweeten and it tastes awesome

One of my favorite drinks in the summer time is a Venti Iced Coffee, light ice, with White Mocha Sauce from that lil coffee shop called STARBUCKS. This is my new homebrewed duplicate! I’ll admit I didn’t start with the greatest coffee (Seattle’s Best, #3) and my ratios were a lil different and somehow I’ve lost my strainer so I had to get a lil creative, but I can’t say enough about the sweetened condensed milk! I mean, is that liquid gold or what? Who knew that was my secret ingredient the whole time?

I made this yesterday and it is delish. Love the sweetened condensed milk addition! Now, I’m sharing with friends. So good for a Texas summer. Thank you.

Left my glowing recommendation in the comments. But just do it. No regrets. I’m so so so happy!!!

This is great! I made it for our family and employees. We all love it! It is great to have a big amount on hand to drink whenever. Some of us even added french vanilla creamer. I put some in the blender and made a frozen drink. Thanks Ree!

Made the “brew” last night using SB Espresso Roast, and am now sipping (or rather, *guzzling*) my second glass of nectar from the gods, using sweetened condensed milk with half & half! I can’t thank you enough, Ree – this will get me through the summer, and save my wallet for sure. Can’t say it will save my thighs, though.

Thanks for sharing a little taste of heaven!! And I’m not exaggerating in the slightest.
PS I tried using a coffee filter and found the cheesecloth to be a much better, radically faster method.

Ree, this looks delicious! I can almost taste how good it is by looking at this great picture!

Make some coffee ice cubes out of part of the liquid and your iced coffee won’t get watered down as the cubes melt. Which means you should just go ahead and double the batch!

WOW. Looks amazing! I can’t wait to try this very, very soon!

This looks awesome. I’m going to try it. My Grandmother used to make coffee syrup for coffee milk! Here is her recipe for that. It’s SO good. If you love coffee and love milk….
4 tablespoons of instant coffee, small amount of hot water, 8 tablespoons sugar, ½ gallon of milk
Dissolve 4 tablespoons of instant coffee in a small amount of hot water
Add 8 tablespoons sugar (give or take) to coffee
Then pour into 1/2 gallon of milk. shake well and enjoy!

Only one thing missing:
a whopping helping of chocolate Ovaltine powder!

OH.MAH.GASH!!! Made this last night with hazelnut coffee. The kitchen smelled wonderful
The first cup this morning was glorious. Especially since my hubby was not home to make my AM coffee! Next time I will more than likely halve the whole process though…thanks for the recipe!!
Can you tell I have had FOUR cups!?

FINALLY! FINALLY! FINALLY!!! I can have fabulous iced coffee EVERY day. It’s better than any I can buy in my podunk little town (Sonic and McD’s is my only option!) But I would set forth a guess this is better than any I could purchase at any such specialty coffee place. I also will be halving this since I really don’t have the storage capabilities for as much as this makes, but…Heaven. So very happy to have this now!!
