Description

This recipe involves Twinkies, strawberries, blackberries, and whipped cream. It is not one of those desserts you can eat if you are trying to watch your girlish figure!

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces, fluid Whipped Topping
  • 1-½ box (15 Oz. Box, 10-count) Twinkies
  • 1 pint Strawberries
  • 6 Tablespoons Sugar, Divided
  • 1 pint Blackberries

Preparation

Take a 9×13 pan and spread a small amount of Cool Whip in the bottom. Layer your Twinkies in the pan. Set aside.

Take your strawberries and remove the tops and quarter them. Save 1/2 to 1 cup for the top for garnish. Take the remainder of your chopped strawberries and place in a shallow pan or bowl and sprinkle with 3 tablespoons of sugar. Mash with a potato masher, making sure the strawberries get juicy. Take this mixture and pour and spread over the top of the twinkies.

Get another shallow dish or bowl and add the blackberries and remaining 3 tablespoons of sugar together. Mash with the potato masher until the blackberries begin to dissolve. Smear this on top of the strawberry mixture across the Twinkies.

Now take some more whipped topping and spread across the top like icing. Sprinkle the remaining cut strawberries that you have over the top. Allow it to set out on the counter for about 20 minutes before serving.
