Description

This moist yellow cake starts with a box, but with some extra additions, still maintains that homemade taste. It honestly comes out perfect every time!

Ingredients

  • 1 box Yellow Cake Mix (I Use An 18.5-Oz. Box Of Duncan Hines Butter Recipe)
  • 4 whole Eggs
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • ⅓ cups Vegetable Oil
  • ¼ cups Sugar
  • ¼ cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Almond Extract (completely Optional, But Fantastic If You Want An Almond Flavored Cake)

Preparation

1. Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.
2. Mix eggs, sour cream, oil, and sugar in a large bowl.
3. Alternate adding cake mix and water. Mix in extracts.
4. Pour into cake pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.

Frost with your favorite icing. :)

Note: any type of extract can be added to this to lend to different flavors you’re looking for. This recipe can also be made with any type of box mix. I tried chocolate the other day and it was just as perfect!
