Description

Hot cocoa in a brownie. Perfect? Yes, I think so!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Semi-sweet Chocolate Morsels
  • ½ cups Unsalted Butter
  • ⅔ cups Light Brown Sugar
  • ⅓ cups Hot Cocoa Mix (powder)
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1-¾ cup All-purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Kosher Salt
  • 2 cups Mini Marshmallows
  • 1 cup Caramel Bits (Kraft)
  • ¼ cups Milk Chocolate Morsels, Melted
  • ¼ cups Kraft Jet-puffed Mallow Bits
  • ½ teaspoons Kosher Salt (for Garnish)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 F. Line a 13×9 baking dish with parchment paper.

Into a small bowl, add 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels and butter. Melt them together in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds and continuing until melted and combined.

In a large mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, hot cocoa mix, eggs and vanilla. Add melted chocolate mixture, flour, baking powder and salt. Mix until thoroughly combined. Fold in mini marshmallows and caramel bits. Pour into baking dish. Bake for 25 minutes.

Remove dish from oven. Cool completely. Drizzle with melted milk chocolate morsels (melt as you did above) and sprinkle the mallow bits and salt on top. Cut into squares and refrigerate. Enjoy!

These did NOT turn out for me. I’ve reviewed the recipe over and over trying to figure out if I added too much of an ingredient or left something out. I knew I was in trouble early because the batter was super still. I could barely stir in the marshmallows and caramel. I baked them for less than 20 minutes and they are so dry! The flavor was good, wish they had turned out better.
