Description

These are a delicious once in a while sweet treat. Make them for yourself, or as a gift for your chocolate peanut butter loving mom or best friend. They will do a disappearing act right before your eyes, promise.

Ingredients

  • 1 box Chocolate Cake Mix, 18 Ounce Box
  • Additional Required Ingredients That Your Box Cake Mix Calls For (typically Water, Eggs And Oil)
  • 18 whole Miniature Size Reese Peanut Butter Cups
  • 1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • ¼ cups Butter
  • 2 cups Confectioners Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Milk, Or More As Needed

Preparation

1. Prepare the cake batter according to package instructions.
2. Place cupcake papers in your pan (recipe makes 18 standard size cupcakes) and place one unwrapped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup in the middle of each.
3. Pour cake mix over the top and bake according to package instructions.
4. Remove from oven and let cool.

Peanut Butter Frosting:
1. Beat peanut butter and butter together with an electric mixer until combined.
2. Slowly beat in the powdered sugar.
3. Add milk one tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
4. Frost onto cooled cupcakes.
