Description

Also known as “muddy buddies,” this classic chocolate and peanut butter snack will have you “chowing” down! :)

Ingredients

  • 9 cups Corn, Rice Or Wheat Chex Cereal (or A Combination)
  • 1 cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips
  • ½ cups Peanut Butter
  • ¼ cups Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla (optional)
  • 1-½ cup Powdered Sugar

Preparation

Into a large bowl, measure cereal; set aside.

In a 1-quart microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on “High” for 1 minute; stir. Microwave for about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla (optional). Pour mixture over the cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into a 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.

Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well-coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in an airtight container or bag in the refrigerator.

Please note that this recipe is for humans to enjoy only! Any form of chocolate is no good for pups. So buy them a fun little doggy treat to enjoy while you “chow” on this. :)

One of my all-time favorite guilty pleasures. I make his whenever there’s going to be a lot of kiddos or a lot of dudes around. It’s a hit no matter what (unless you’re allergic to peanuts) and even though you think there’s enough to feed an army, it’s all gone by the end of any party. LOVE!

This is really yummy. I like to add raisins and peanuts. Sometimes I will sub butterscotch chips for the chocolate chips and it is equally good.

One of my stand-by party recipes. Be sure you serve cold, or else you’ll get chocolate all over yourself!

So good! I add mini pretzles, peanuts and peanut butter chips too. My family and friends literally consume all of it the day I make it! I made large quantities during Christmas and gave them as goodie bags at work and everyone loved it!

Easy and yummy. It’s very messy to make, but I’m a messy baker! :) My hubby liked it, too! Thanks!
