This cake was very tasty! Actually the frosting was very tasty, the cake itself could have used a bit more peanut butter taste in my opinion, but I like a strong flavor. It was super easy to make and I had no issues with the frosting-didn’t need to add or adjust to it in any way, other than to refrigerate it a bit after pouring to help it harden up. Also should have sifted the powdered sugar before adding to the mix, so tip for future users! All in all a great cake that is moist, easy to make and a crowd pleaser-my co-workers raved about it!

My son loves it – he had me cut him a slice as soon as the icing went on! Icing was crumbly until I added more milk, and kept stirring over low heat.

Making this for my daughter’s birthday for the second year in a row at her request. I make this exactly as posted and it is fabulous!

Made this last night for our church potluck. Didn’t bring much home! Several people came up to me and said they loved it. It actually left my husband speechless!! This definitely goes into our “favorite recipes” file.

Made it tonight. Family loves it. Very similar texture to Texas/Chocolate Sheet cake. Moist and yummy. Surprisingly the peanut butter flavor was not too over the top. Our family does love peanut butter. Awesome recipe, thank you for sharing.

AMAZING! If you love peanut butter, do not make this cake- you are dooming yourself to severe self-punishment when you have consumed half the tray! It was like eating big slabs of peanut butter fudge. Super delish. The cake cooked in exactly 20 min at 400, I almost put it back in for a couple extra minutes because it didn’t look really done, but it was. The frosting needed some extra milk for me. Can’t wait to make this again!

I need help fellow cooks and bakers… when I made this icing the butter/oils completely separated from the sugar and peanut butter, even though I followed the recipe exactly! I am an experienced cook/baker and have never seen this happen! Any thoughts or suggestions? The more I stirred, the more butter seemed to “squeeze out of the sugar/peanut butter mixture.
Also, I baked the cake at the time specified but the bottom is burned. Anyone else have that trouble?

It requires a little more milk for the frosting, but otherwise it is WONDERFUL! I cut the baked cake in half, put half of the cake in a 9×13 pan, put half the frosting on top, and repeated. This just made it easier to store.
