Description

This is super peanut-buttery! So make sure you love peanut butter. It’s great with some chocolate sauce/chips and whipped cream!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Peanut Butter Creamy Or Crunchy
  • ¾ cups Sugar
  • 1 cup Milk Whole Or Two Percent
  • 1-⅓ cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract

Preparation

Combine the peanut butter and sugar until smooth. Add the milk. Blend on low speed until smooth and the sugar is dissolved. Stir in the heavy cream and the vanilla (don’t stir too much, just a few strokes until it’s well mixed).

Place in your ice cream maker and let it run as directed. If it is soft, make sure you freeze it before eating – if you can wait!

I have the Cuisinart electric ice cream maker from Bed Bath and Beyond. It is 1.5 qt so you should be good (even though by now you have probably already made it!) Whenever I find recipes, to compare to the size of my ice cream maker, I just compare the amounts of liquid. Like mine uses 3 cups of a milk/cream combo for vanilla (as per the recipe book that came with it), so if a recipe uses 4 of 5 cups of liquid, I know it won’t fit!

My kids LOVED to make this easy recipe. We substituted a frozen fruit berry blend for the peanut butter and OMG . . . couldn’t wait for dinner to be done each night. We tried again a week later with natural peanut butter and it didn’t turn out. I think we need to use non-natural.
