My hubby also has diabetes….I’ve made them with the Diet Mt. Dew/Splenda….just don’t use as much Mt. Dew because the Splenda dissolved real well….didn’t glop…lol

I doubled recipe except for MD and brought them to work at the Sheriff’s Department. A Sgt asked me to bring them for his birthday (which I did) and as they were wolfing them down an Investigator reminded me that his birthday was March 29. I have diabetes and can’t indulge but those who can think they are the best. Thanks so much for the recipe. I owe ya!

These are amazing! But next time I make them I will definitely cut back on the sugar a bit. And add more cinnamon too! My stepdad said these were the best apple dumplings he’s ever had. Quite the compliment! Especially because our family is all mennonite/amish background – and you know that’s some good food!

WOW!! These were delicious and so bad for you-especially with ice cream-we loved them. I might have to make them again this weekend ;>

These are so delicious! Made them this way as well as healthier with fat free butter and splenda – both ways are good!
