Super simple and oh so yummy!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. (325 degrees for glass pans).
In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, oil, eggs and sour cream. Mix with a mixer or you can stir by hand (approximately 50 strokes), or until most large lumps are gone. Pour half of the batter into an ungreased 9×13 inch baking dish.
Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon, and sprinkle over the batter in the cake pan. Spoon the other half of the batter into the cake pan, covering the brown sugar and cinnamon.
Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes.
Poke holes in the cake and frost cake while it is still warm.
To make the frosting, in a small bowl, whisk together the confectioner’s sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth.

This was great. It tasted to me like a coffee cake. Mine was alot thicker than what it looks like in pic though. We ate it right out of the oven. YUM!

This was a great cake. I readily had the ingredients on hand, it was easy and fun to make. I served it to a group of U.S. Marines and they devoured it in seconds. It really does have that “honey bun” flavor and look to it. A definite repeater. Thank you for sharing your recipe with us!

Oops!! Couldn’t figure out how to correct my review.
Make that last sentence:
“I did it, but the process WASN”T pretty!”
Whew! Now, I feel better.

YUM! This is my type of recipe. Easy to make, crowd pleaser, and I usually have all of the ingredients in my pantry!
One question…Is there a trick to spreading the second half of the batter over the brown sugar/cinnamon layer? I did it, but the process was pretty!
