What a fun pie! It is incredibly easy to toss together but oh so tasty. The smell really did get me all the way upstairs. Mine set up quite soft and gooey, which could be because of the high altitude (things bake a little funny here) but it was set enough that it didn’t run all over the plates. Delicious cocoa flavor and the melted sugar crust on top is killer. Definitely, DEFINITELY a keeper. Thanks!

Hi! I saw this recipe yesterday and had to try it right away! Unbelievably easy and very tasty! The chocolate was much lighter (less dense) than the traditional cooked chocolate pudding that I usually use, which made it for a nice light dessert.
Because it was after a long day of work, I cheated a little and purchased a prepared crust from the freezer section. The only thing I would change is I wish I had gotten the deep dish version because a cup or more of batter didn’t fit into the pie. Also, because the pre-mades are in foil pie pans, I placed the pie on a cookie sheet before putting it in the oven for more stability.
Thank you for sharing this recipe, I will definitely be making it again and look forward to experimenting with different cocoas (I used Hersheys)!

Quick, simple and delicious… what more could one ask for?
This will go into my arsenal of go-to recipes when I need a quick chocolate fix and want something more than a mini candy bar!
Side Note – I saw an earlier note that the frozen crust someone used left them with leftover filling. I’m guessing that this may have been an 8″ shell, as I used a 9″ pie shell and this worked out perfectly.

We just didn’t like the flavour at our house and we love chocolate. It was indeed easy and fast though.

Came out much different than I thought. The thing we didn’t like most about it is that you could almost feel the sugary “graniness.” The taste was also very different from what I expected, didn’t taste very much like chocolate, but more like some kind of mix.. not sure how to explain. But I’ll definitely look into doing something with this recipe because of how quick and easy it is.

Fast, easy, delicious. I loved the crust on top. It was like a yummy chocolate fudge. I will make this again. Anytime I want chocolate pie, which will be lots from now on.

I am going to make this pie for our Memorial picnic with the kids. Do you think that the pie should be served cold? Are the leftovers (I doubt that there will be any!)stored in the fridge? It looks amazing! Thanks for posting it.

Oh my gosh! I just made this for lunch with an old friend. It was so easy, and absolutely delicious! It is taking all of my self control to stay out of the kitchen and not eat the whole rest of the pie.
