Description

Peanut Butter Bars with hot fudge and peanut butter chips.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Butter, Softened
  • ¼ cups Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 3 whole Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 package (about 12 Oz. Size) Peanut Butter Chips
  • ½ cups Chocolate Syrup

Preparation

Heat oven to 350°F. Grease a 13x9x2-inch baking pan.

Beat butter and peanut butter in a large bowl. Add sugar and brown sugar; beat well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in vanilla.

Stir together flour, baking powder and salt; mix into the peanut butter mixture, blending well. Stir in peanut butter chips. Spread half of the batter in the prepared pan; spoon syrup over top. Carefully top with remaining batter; swirl with a knife for a marbled effect.

Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Cut and enjoy!

I have mixed reviews for this one…while the cake part of the bars was good, the chocolate syrup part gave these a weird flavor and I had to throw almost all of it away. If I made these again, I would definitely leave out the syrup.

Made these for a neighborhood party and not a single bar was left. They were enjoyed by both the kids and grown-ups. Delicious! (And easy!)
