Description

This is a very rich, decadent, and creamy Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie. If you like chocolate and peanut butter, you’ll like this! It is oh-so wonderful!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE CRUST:
  • 1-⅓ cup Graham Cracker Crumbs
  • ⅓ cups Sugar
  • 8 Tablespoons (1 Stick) Unsalted Butter, Melted
  • _____
  • FOR THE FILLING:
  • 14 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1-½ cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla
  • 2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, Melted
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • _____
  • FOR THE GANACHE:
  • ¾ cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 6 ounces, weight Semi-sweet Chocolate Finely Chopped (high Quality Such As Ghiradelli - Not Chocolate Chips)

Preparation

For the crust:

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar and melted butter until well blended. Press the mixture into the sides and bottom of a 9-inch deep dish pie plate. Bake at 350ºF for 8 minutes. Cool completely.

For the filling:

Beat cream cheese and sugar in a mixing bowl. Add the peanut butter and vanilla and mix well. Beat in the melted butter gradually.

In a separate bowl, whip the cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the cream into the peanut butter mixture using a spatula. Do not over beat. Pour into the prepared, cooled crust and refrigerate for several hours until set.

For the ganache:

Bring the cream to a boil in a saucepan. Pour over the chocolate in a bowl. Stir gently to melt the chocolate and mix well. Cool slightly and spread evenly over the pie. Chill until served. Cut with a knife that has been heated under hot water and wiped dry between each slice.

I meant ‘PRE’-made, not ‘ore’-made ;p

This is DELICIOUS!!! I used a ore-made graham cracker crust and used only about 2/3 of the filling with 1/2 the sugar, it was still very very tasty especially if you love peanut butter. It’s so easy to make too.

This is a GREAT pie for those who don’t like cream cheese filling in pie – it’s often hard to find a substitute for it! I didn’t have any chocolate bar on hand, so I melted unsweetened baking chocolate, milk, chocolate powder, and sugar together, and it still hit the spot (although I’m sure the ganache would have been better!)!

I’ve made this pie twice since this recipe was posted. My family now demands it! It is as delicious as it looks in the picture. The only changes I made were I used a ready made graham cracker crust, I omitted the butter, and I reduced the sugar to 1 and 1/4 cup. Outstanding recipe – THANK YOU!

This was so decadent & a huge hit for my guests I served it too. Definetly going down in the books for a favorite. I chopped up some trader joes’ dark chocolate peanut butter cups and spread them on the top. Thank you for this!
