do not hesitate, MAKE THIS CAKE!!! it’s SO easy, and absolutely delicious. I’ve been making it for years. it has that perfect chocolate flavor, not too bitter, not too sweet. SO easy to make, I love to take it to friends houses, and have taken it to new neighbors as a housewarming gift.
I use a ‘butter recipe fudge’ cake mix, and I like to use the mini chocolate chips, as they stay just these TINY little bits of melted chocolate throughout the dense fudge cake!!!

My husband’s family has made this for me after I came home from the hospital with both my kiddos and it is the only thing that has gotten me through those first few days with a newborn. DELICIOUS.

Made this for my boyfriend yesterday and he hasn’t stopped raving about it. It is so good! This is my new go to chocolate cake recipe… thanks:-)

Yum is all I can say about this cake!! It was so moist. I think next time I make it I will try butterscotch chips instead.

Umm, can I give this a 10/5? This is an absolutely DELICIOUS cake and incredibly easy! It’s almost a cross between a brownie and a cake. I sprinkled powdered sugar over the top just for looks. It really doesn’t need any help. Although, it would also be delicious served with cool whip, or served warm with vanilla ice cream. Yummo!

Easy and delicious, I made one yesterday and it’s already half gone. PS – try it with peanut butter chips!

This was really tasty and stayed fluffy and moist all week without ever getting too dry. Not going to lie, we even ate it for breakfast some mornings – it was just like a chocolate muffin.

This is a recipe I’ve used for several years, too. It’s fantabulous. I’ve replaced the water with milk, with good results.
I’ve topped it with a mixture of melted chocolate chips and butter. Yum.
The best mix to use is Duncan Hines Devil’s Food.

This has been my favorite cake since my teen years and I still have it every year on my birthday.
Once in awhile I change cake, pudding and chip flavors but who can beat chocolate?

I am going to make this today, however, just a question you mentioned that you don’t need frosting but did you put some kind of fudge sauce???? on top in the pic? Just wanted to try it with the sauce maybe!!

I have made this cake so many times for my daughter in law’s birthday…it is deicious! The original recipe is for a bundt cake, but I always make it in two layer pans.

Just had my first piece of this cake and it is The Best Choclate Cake I’ve ever tried! If you want a moist, gooey, chocolaty cake for any reason (do you really need one?!), please make this cake!

Would this cake be good as a birthday cake with a buttercream frosting on it?
