Description

Chai tea in the form of a blondie. Pure deliciousness.

Ingredients

  • 2-⅔ cups All-purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1-½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoons Nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Ginger
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Cloves
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Coriander
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Cardamom
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter, At Room Temperature
  • 2 cups Packed Brown Sugar
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups Hersheys Cinnamon Chips

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 9×13″ pan with foil and/or grease pan.

In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, coriander, and cardamom. Set aside.

In a bowl with an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar until creamy, about 3 minutes. Add eggs and beat until well combined. Add vanilla and combine.

Add dry mixture and mix until combined. Then, stir in cinnamon chips.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake 25-30 minutes in the prepared pan. They will be done when the top is golden brown and it springs back when gently touching the surface. Cool before cutting.

fourtrans, you can always order them online from King Arthur Flour if you can’t find them locally.

Hershey makes cinnamon chips that they sell in a package just like semi sweet chips. Ask at any store where they sell Hersheys.

This looks so good. I have a hard time finding cinnamon chips in my area (north Florida). Any ideas where to look? I’ve tried Publix and Wal-Mart and my mother has tried a few places with no luck. Thanks.

Awesome! I have made these twice, not with the cinnamon chips but with white chocolate chopped and semi-sweet chocolate chips. They are incredible especially with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Mine did take a bit longer to cook. Kids love them too.

Wow! This was my first time making Blondies, and I have to say the flavor was amazing. The Chai flavor came through great! I will be making these again!

This recipe is absolutely worth the trouble of hunting down the cinnamon chips and shelling out for the cardamom. They’re just the right texture and full of flavor.
