Description

Wonderful dessert celebrating the berries of summer. Great for a picnic or alfresco dining!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Fresh Blackberries
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1  Large Egg
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 6 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
  • Ice Cream Or Whipped Cream, To Serve

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375ºF. Place blackberries in a lightly greased 8-inch square baking dish; sprinkle with lemon juice. Stir together egg, sugar, and flour in a medium bowl until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add melted butter and mix until the flour mixture forms together and is crumbly. Sprinkle over fruit. Bake for 35 minutes until lightly browned and bubbly. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
