Description

Get the sweetest, sassiest, most tongue tantalizing BBQ sauce ever in under 5 minutes! It’s that easy.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Instant Coffee Crystals
  • 1-½ Tablespoon Onion Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • ¼ teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
  • ½ teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Celery Salt
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • ⅓ cups White Vinegar
  • ½ cups Ketchup
  • 1 cup Sweet Chili Sauce (I Use Frank's)
  • 1 can Tomato Puree (15 Oz)

Preparation

In saucepan stir together the brown sugar and all the dry ingredients.

In a bowl combine all the liquid ingredients. Whisk to blend the liquid ingredients, then add wet ingredients to dry ingredients. Cook over medium heat until brown sugar dissolves.

Makes about 3 cups. Store covered in refrigerator. Use on poultry, pork, or even beef.

This BBQ sauce is sweet and tangy, but mild on the heat. For more kick, just add more cayenne pepper to suit your taste!

*(Frank’s RedHot Sweet Chili Sauce is a new product and may not yet be available in most grocery stores. Heinz chili sauce may be substituted for Frank’s).

For starters, this sauce is very tasty. There is no getting around this. I followed the recipe to the “T”. The whole family liked it.
My wife and I had a conversation after dinner and agreed that there was something missing. We have yet to put our finger on it. I have canned the remaining 3 jars for future use and expect it won’t be long before we use them.
I think it was slightly sour and needs thickened without disrupting the flavor of the sauce. It reminded me of Bulls Eye on steriods. I recommend this sauce to everyone who likes a lot of tang! Thank you Tara for a great recipe!!
