Running a TexMex restaurant on a small island off Panama, I had to come up with my own seasoning blend to spice my pinto beans for a side and refried beans. This blend of spices worked perfectly! Delicious smoky flavor! Just add onion and pork! I reduced the original recipe because you probably don’t need to spice 10 pounds of beans!
Combine all spices in an airtight container. Use 3 tablespoons mix per pound of beans and prepare beans according to your preferred method. Seasoning can be stored in an airtight container for up to 6 months.

Add:
1 Bay Leaf
1 15oz. can of Rotel Tomato’s and Green Chili’s
1/2 – 1 tspn of FRESH ground Black pepper
2 or 3 Smoked Ham Hocks
