Description

Making your own homemade taco seasoning mix will eliminate unnecessary preservatives in your food and is super easy.

Ingredients

  • 1-½ teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1-½ teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Black Pepper
  • ½ teaspoons Paprika
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Onion Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Chili Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Dried Oregano
  • ⅛ teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoons Ground Ginger

Preparation

Note: makes enough seasoning for about 2 lbs. meat.

Combine all ingredients in small mixing bowl and mix well. Store in an airtight container if not using right away.

I have used this several times and it is wonderful. I will never buy taco seasoning again. I use the whole recipe for 1lb of meat and add about 1/4-1/2 cup of water (like you would for store bought taco seasoning).
