Description

This glaze tastes a little like teriyaki sauce, but spicier and with different flavor nuances. You can use it for grilling, stir-frying, or broiling beef, chicken, fish, or even veggies.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Dr. Pepper
  • ¼ cups Apple Cider Vinegar
  • ¼ cups Honey
  • 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tablespoon Tamari Sauce Or Soy Sauce
  • 1 clove Garlic, Peeled And Cracked
  • 1 piece (1-inch Long) Ginger, Peeled And Cut In Half
  • 1 stick (1-inch Long) Cinnamon
  • 2  Pods Cardamom, Cracked
  • 2 whole Cloves
  • 1  Bay Leaf
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Mustard Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Crushed Red Pepper Flakes, More Or Less To Taste
  • ⅛ teaspoons Crushed Red Pepper Flakes, More Or Less To Taste

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Turn the heat down to medium-low and simmer (uncovered) until reduced to a syrupy consistency, about 30 minutes. Strain the sauce through a fine mesh sieve; cool to room temperature, then store in the fridge.
