Description

Bold, slightly sweet, and great on turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, sweet potatoes …

Ingredients

  • 2-½ cups Turkey Pan Drippings (Or Turkey Stock Plus 1/2 Stick Melted Butter)
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced
  • 2 teaspoons Dried Rubbed Sage
  • ¼ cups Flour
  • ½ cups Apple Cider
  • Salt And Pepper

Preparation

Scrape juices and browned bits from the roasting pan into a large glass measuring cup. Measure out 2 ½ cups.

Add the garlic and sage to the drippings and place in a saucepan over medium heat.

Whisk the flour and cold apple cider together to remove the clumps.

Pour the flour mixture into the drippings and whisk. Continue to whisk as the mixture comes to a soft boil and thickens to desired consistency.

Salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.

I made this for Thanksgiving this year. The flavor was good but the gravy was not as thick as I would like. I think next time I will add more flour to the mix. Over all good and I will make again. It was easy! Thank you for the recipe.
