Description

This granola has no added sugar and is full of healthy nuts and seeds. It’s about as healthy as granola is going to get!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Old Fashion Oats
  • ½ cups Raw Unsalted Almonds
  • ½ cups Raw Unsalted Pumpkin Seeds
  • ½ cups Raw Unsalted Sunflower Seeds
  • ½ cups Shredded Coconut
  • ½ cups Rasins
  • ¼ cups Dry Roasted Flaxseed
  • ¼ cups Wheat Germ
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 dash Cinnamon
  • ¼ cups Maple Syrup
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • 1 Tablespoon Agave

Preparation

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Roughly chop the almonds. Combine all the dry ingredients. Add the maple syrup, honey and agave (if you have it, if you don’t just add a little extra honey), stir it well. Spread it out in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake it for 30 minutes then stir. Continue baking for another 30 minutes and stir again. Bake for 15-30 more minutes. Once it is evenly toasted, pull it out of the oven. Let it cool completely and store in an airtight container. I eat it in 1/4 cup portions with yogurt or as a quick snack on the go. Each 1/4 cup serving is about 140 calories.

I love the ingredients in this recipe but the oven temperature seemed too hot and/or the cooking time too long. It looked so good until about 45 minutes in when it started to become too brown. I let it bake for the full hour as recommended and now I taste that it’s a little burned. I’m so disappointed!

A side note – I’d leave the raisins out of the mixture until it’s already cooked.
