Super quick and easy way to make doughnuts at home!
Cut holes in the middle of each biscuit using a small cookie cutter or shot glass (I usually use the top of a spice jar). Heat oil over medium heat. When hot, drop dougnuts and “holes” into oil. Fry for 1 to 2 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels. Top as you’d like.
Ideas:
1. Dip in glaze (powdered sugar and milk). You can flavor the glaze with orange juice or extracts.
2. Roll in cinnamon sugar.
3. Roll in powdered sugar.
4. Roll in granulated sugar.

This is something my mom used to always do when we were growing up and I do it for my kids too. It’s a favorite of ours. If you add a touch of vanilla to the powdered sugar milk glaze they taste a bit like Krispy Kreme’s. Also, I buy a container of chocolate frosting and put a bit in a bowl and microwave for just a few seconds to loosen it up. Dip the donuts in the frosting for another type of glaze. YUM!
