Description

Fix this the night before and all you have to do is get up and put it in the oven. This is a family favorite in my family!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Sausage (turkey Or Pork)
  • 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 2 cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 6 slices Bread, Cubed
  • 6 whole Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Preparation

1) Cook sausage over medium heat until brown. Drain and set aside.

2) Layer bread cubes, sausage and cheese in a large casserole dish (11X7 normally works well).

3) In a large bowl beat together eggs, milk, salt and mustard. Pour into casserole dish, on top of the other ingredients. Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours or over night.

4) Remove casserole from refrigerator 30 min before baking. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 60 min or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Let stand 10 min before serving.

I made this for our Christmas brunch. It was very easy and tasty. My DH has requested I make it again. It’s a keeper!
